 e recent European Environment Agency report Europe’s Environment 2025 
 shows starkly deteriorating environmental conditions in Europe and rising 
 social impacts\, as well as an increasing dependence on the rest of the wo
 rld for resources. The upcoming EU Circular Economy Act offers an opening 
 to shift from fragmented recycling strategies to a holistic\, need-oriente
 d\, regenerative economy. Ambition and long-term vision matter\, particula
 rly at a time when Europe is cutting back on green commitments under the s
 implification agenda. The materials and consumption taskforce convened b
 y the Club of Rome and the Hot or Cool Institute is thus calling for b
 inding material footprint reduction targets\, stronger focus on resource e
 fficiency across key provisioning systems\, and international governance f
 or fair resource use.\n\nJoin us to explore:\n\n 	Why cutting resource dem
