SUMMARY:Communicating Change: Storytelling for climate communications and a
 ction
DESCRIPTION:Communicating Change is a new workshop format for early career
  communications professionals to learn from and engage with each other\, o
 n practical solutions\, insights and experiences while communicating acros
 s a range of complex topics\, including but not limited to climate change\
 , scientific research\, conservation\, reshaping economics\, public health
 \, policy\, systems analysis and climate action.\nIn the first edition\, w
 e will have Patricia Akpo Uyeh and Giovanna Galvani sharing their experien
 ces in a conversation on Storytelling for climate communications and actio
 n.\n\nThis is an engagement space to learn and grow as communications prof
 essionals in connected but unique roles. The presentations by Akpo Uyeh an
 d Galvani will be followed by an open discussion where everyone is free to
  ask questions or share insights and practical wins from their own communi
 cations work. Hosted by the communications team at The Club of Rome\, this
  is a space for mutual learning on communicating complexity.\n\nAbout the 
 speakers:\nPatricia Akpo Uyeh is a Nigerian communications specialist\, g
 eo-journalist and blogger with extensive experience spanning media\, NGOs\
 , and public engagement. She crafts compelling narratives on climate\, con
 servation\, and equity\, bridging voices from the Global South and North. 
 Her work focuses on transforming stories into powerful catalysts for colle
 ctive action and lasting systemic change.\n\nGiovanna Galvani is a Brazili
 an journalist currently pursuing a MSc in Climate Change: Policy\, Media a
 nd Society at Dublin City University as a GOI-IES Scholar. She's now worki
 ng with public and stakeholder engagement with a focus on climate communic
 ations and energy policy\, and she also has experience with digital strate
 gy for organisations and media outlets.\n\nIf you are an early career comm
