 ing political priorities are key obstacles. Misinformation and greenwashin
 g efforts stoke the flames of resistance to genuine action. Fossil fuel su
 bsidies linger like unwanted houseguests\, while GDP-driven models chase q
 uick wins over sustainable gains. And despite global promises\, crucial po
 licies fall short. The new publication presents evidence of worsening tren
 ds\, inadequate measures\, and the EU's leadership role in the urgent poli
