By encouraging open dialogues\, we're paving the way for shared lea rning\, amidst the festival's diverse approaches and artistic expressions for creating a new heartset about ownership and economy.\n\n\nFROM SHAREHO LDERS TO 'CAREHOLDERS’?\n\n\n\n\nImagine our economy as the caretaker of our shared planetary home. Picture it like a tapestry intricately woven f rom agreements\, traditions\, value systems\, and connections. This econom ic fabric isn't solely about currency\, finance\, and numbers\; it's the i ntricate web that binds individuals\, communities\, knowledge\, nature\, science\, and technology.\nWe find ourselves entwined within the intricat e web that weaves the economy. Yet\, somewhere we lost touch with the hear t of what "economy" really means. The word itself hails from the Greek "Oi kos\," which signifies managing our shared household. As the process of in dustrialisation increasingly shaped our lives\, we've drifted from the dee p sense of collective care and stewardship.\nWhile we often see the econom y as an unchangeable force of nature\, the reality is that we have the abi lity to reshape this system as its creators. The economy is more than just changing rules on paper\; it's about altering how we relate to each other and the world around us. As we navigate this uncharted terrain\, we're di scovering new ways to connect\, care\, and collaborate.\nOur home for the future needs a renewed commitment and a reconnection to the core of what " Oikos" represents. By reimagining economy\, we're embarking on a journey t hat challenges us to weave in compassion\, community\, kinship\, and trus t\, back into the intricate fabric of our planetary household. This isn't about grand theories\; it's about taking practical steps to nurture our ho me and each other\, making sure we're all woven together in this tapestry of life.\nIt's about re-imagining how we become “careholders" again\ , instead of shareholders.\n\nPROGRAM\n09:45 Warm Coffee/Tea\n10:00 Warm Welcome\n10:15 Warm Data Lab hosted by Carlos Alvarez Pereira\n12:00 - 13: 00 Lunch\n13:00 - 16:15 Afternoon sessions featuring short presentations.\ n16:30 - 17:30 Visit expo &\; closing drinks Willem Twee Art Space\nMor ning session - Warm Data lab\nThe morning will start with a Warm Data Lab. Warm Data is a concept developed by the international Bateson Institute. ‘Warm Data’ is information about the interrelationships that connect e lements of a complex system. It captures the qualitative dynamics and offe rs another dimension of understanding to what is learned through quantitat ive data (“cold data”). The implications for the uses of Warm Data may offer a whole new dimension to the tools of information science we have t o work with at present. The Warm Data Lab session will be hosted by Carlos Alvarez Pereira\, Vice President of The Club of Rome.\nAfternoon sessions - Open dialogue \n\nThe afternoon event explores possibilities of how to become ‘careholders’ instead of shareholders in an economy based on co mpetition\, exploitation and extraction. The speakers will trigger these i deas by showcasing their professional backgrounds with short presentation s.\n\nSpeakers will include Anne Snick\, member of The Club of Rome and in dependent researcher at Smart.be\, Cynthia Hathaway\, Founder of the Wool Alliance for Social Agency\, Peter Blom\, member of The Club of Rome and board member of the Dutch Central Bank\, Raad Sharar\, Programme Coordinat or for the Emerging New Civilisations Impact Hub at The Club of Rome and T eresa Borasino\, independent artist.\n\nThe event will be hosted by Carlos Alvarez Pereira\, the Vice President of The Club of Rome and Olga Mink\, Artistic Director at Future of Work.\n\nFuture of Work questions the econ omic system from both ideological and everyday perspectives\, offering pro posals for alternative choices and narratives. It fosters new forms of col laboration and envisions dialogues where our needs prioritize a healthy ec osystem and a just society.\n\n\n ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://www.clubofrome.org/wp-content/uploads/20 23/09/https___cdn.evbuc_.com_images_554384509_1163850037033_1_original.jpg CATEGORIES:Emerging New Civilisations LOCATION:Verkadefabriek\, 45 Boschdijkstraat\, Den Bosch\, 5211\, Netherla nds X-APPLE-STRUCTURED-LOCATION;VALUE=URI;X-ADDRESS=45 Boschdijkstraat\, Den Bo sch\, 5211\, Netherlands;X-APPLE-RADIUS=100;X-TITLE=Verkadefabriek:geo:0, 0 END:VEVENT BEGIN:VTIMEZONE TZID:Europe/Brussels X-LIC-LOCATION:Europe/Brussels BEGIN:DAYLIGHT DTSTART:20230326T030000 TZOFFSETFROM:+0100 TZOFFSETTO:+0200 TZNAME:CEST END:DAYLIGHT END:VTIMEZONE END:VCALENDAR
