SUMMARY:The Club of Rome at the World Economic Forum Davos 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Club of Rome will join over 2\,700 leaders from government\
 , business and civil society at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 20
 23 in Davos\, Switzerland to discuss the bold collective action needed to 
 tackle multiple ongoing global crises\, and identify what can be done at t
 his critical time to improve the state of the world. The theme of the 53rd
  annual meeting is 'Cooperation in a Fragmented World' and the meeting wil
 l look to set the global agenda for 2023\, focusing on a wide range of key
  topics including sustainability\, following up on the commitments made at
  COP27\, with a strong focus on the global south.\n\nThe Club of Rome will
  host and participate in several sessions outlined below.\nOpening Hearts

 .\n\nIf sustainable development is the goal\, regeneration has to become t
 he social norm. The reinvention of organisations\, singularly businesses\,
  is critical for that purpose. But today they are trapped in unfit framewo
 rks\, fostering short-term profits and relentless competition. This worksh
 op presented by The Club of Rome's The Fifth Element program\, with the su
 pport of the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust\, will uncover how organizations\, 
 particularly businesses can be reinvented to serve planet and people rathe
 r than growth at all costs. Join us as we discuss what makes regenerative 
 businesses viable in today´s landscape and explore what could accelerate 
 a massive shift to regeneration by all kinds of organisations.\nSpeakers i

 ractive system towards a regenerative economy\, but as we navigate economi
 cally and socially uncertain times\, an important question remains: how wi
 ll we pay for this transformation? Who will bear the cost of saving the wo
 rld? This Goals House session will uncover the real cost of economic syste
 ms change for governments\, business and philanthropy\, looking at what ne
 w policies and financing mechanisms are needed today\, in order to create
