Elise Buckle is a globally recognised climate leader and sustainability expert who has been working in the field of climate and sustainability for 25 years. She is the founder and CEO of Climate Bridges, the co-Chair and international gender champion of the Climate-Gender Impact Group, as well as a Senior Advisor to the United Nations (UN) and the World Bank’s Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi).
She was also special advisor to the COP23 Presidency, senior advisor to the UN Climate Action Summit on Nature Based-Solutions and co-founder of SHE Changes Climate.
Buckle has a strong track record in working as a partnership facilitator and catalyst for change, building bridges and successful global alliances to unlock the power of collective action and to deliver positive impacts for climate, people and nature. Some of her works include the launch and coordination of the Planetary Emergency Partnership, the UN-hosted Nature-Based Solutions Coalition, Leaders’ Pledge for Nature and the G7/G20 Summits’ Heads of States declarations on sustainable finance.
She is a leadership mentor and teaches sustainability, ethical business and entrepreneurship at the Glion Institute of Higher Education.
She is also a passionate writer, public speaker, mindfulness facilitator, yoga teacher and mother of two.
