Glenn, Jerome

Jerome C. Glenn is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Project, a global futures research think tank established in 1996. He is the lead author of The State of the Future 20.0 and nineteen previous editions of The State of the Future report published over the past twenty-five years. He is also the author of “Global Governance of the Transition to Artificial General Intelligence”.

From 1988 to 2007, he served as Executive Director of the American Council for the United Nations University and as its Washington, DC representative.

With more than five decades of experience in futures research, Glenn has worked with governments, international organisations and private industry on science and technology policy, environmental security, economics, education, defence, space, futures research methodology, international telecommunications and decision support systems. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the Committee for the Future, the Hudson Institute and the Future Options Room before founding the Millennium Project.

He has delivered keynote addresses and lectures to over 500 government departments, universities, NGOs, UN organisations and corporations around the world on a wide range of future-oriented topics.
