Chukwudi Johnpaul Okolo is a Nigerian-born social development and entrepreneurship enthusiast. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Erfurt in Germany.
With a background in philosophy and a passion for societal transformation, Okolo is particularly drawn to issues of ethics and society. He was a Hackathon award winner at the 2021 Globethics.net Hackathon and has continued to develop his winning solution, which aims to include children as stakeholders in society through the formation of ethics clubs in basic schools.
Okolo returned to Nigeria from Germany to advance sustainable development through his community-based initiatives. In July 2022, he received the University of Erfurt’s Commitment Award for a social project targeting women breadwinners in low income countries, with a pilot programme launched in Enugu, Nigeria. He remains actively engaged in strategic development efforts.
He regularly collaborates with higher education regulatory agencies in Nigeria, facilitating exchanges and partnerships for knowledge and technology transfer with institutions in Germany and Turkey. This initiative focuses on strengthening institutions in supporting sustainable youth development.
Okolo is a private consulting expert on labour mobility and regular migration. He is the founding director of Skills and Labour Services Ltd. Nigeria. In his spare time, he enjoys playing football and applying his problem-solving skills in both professional and social contexts.
