Towards More Effective Societies

Published 1980 – Bohdan Hawrylyshyn explores how and why different societal orders have emerged. He analyses the basic components of these orders – values, political governance and economic systems. He then shows how the match between these components and the internal and external environments of a country determine its social, political and economic effectiveness. Taking key countries separately he shows how each might achieve greater effectiveness by modifying the basic components.
